DO NOT LEAVE THE ROOM WHILE THIS MACHINE IS RUNNING! When things go wrong with machine embroidery, they go wrong very quickly and need to be stopped immediately to avoid damaging the machine. Pause your job if you need to leave the room for any reason.
Cover the machine when not in use.
Janome's Artistic Digitizer 2.0 (and 1.7) are available on the Kwartzlab computers, and should likely be your first choice for converting your designs for embroidery (often called “embroidery digitization”). Designing images for embroidery is best done with a vector image editor like Inkscape.
Necessary accessories like hoops, as well as consumables like bobbin thread and stabilizer can be found in the cabinet beneath the machine. A large supply of embroidery thread can be found in the box stored above the machine.
