Rules as in awesome, and as in, we need a lil order in here for everyone to enjoy use of the space 🥰
- Tidy up after yourself - sweeping, clearing threads, cloth and personal debris - cutting table needs to be clear when you are leaving
- Tag out any machines that aren’t working and post in the slack
- Most of the sewing machines don’t require training, but if you’re new to sewing please ask a member to show you around.
- Please cut fabric only on the green cutting mats and not directly on the vinyl cover
- Keep tables clear (for cutting not storage)
- Do not iron on the green mats
- If you’re using the small ironing board on the table move mats so that they aren’t damaged with steam)
- Use distilled water only
- Don’t leave iron plugged in unattended
- Be careful when ironing sticky things like interfacing (use a pressing cloth)
- Clean the iron surface after use if necessary (warm water and cloth)
- Janome 6700P, Janome Serger Pro 4dx and Janome Coverpro 3000 are training required
- Janome HD5000 are for regular member and workshop use
- Reset sewing machines to standard settings after finishing
- Projects in progress are organized in slack.
- Things at a loom belong to the loom and should not be removed/stored elsewhere
- Looms should be moved by the maintainers only

¶ Maintenance Manuals/Guides
- Are there any maintenance manuals or guides that exist. If so link to them here. They can be internal (stored on your teams google drive) or external (linked to the online manual)
- We supply basic thread colours (black,white, grey), distilled water, rotary cutting blades
- Please post in slack if you notice we are out of something.
